ASSISTANT HEAD OF YEAR

Fixed term until 31/08/22, full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm) term time only to start as soon as possible.

VTG9 Scale Point 26-29, starting salary £25,450 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary £20,694 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefit package (see website for full details of our employee benefit package).

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head of Year to provide learning, mentoring and support for students in the Year as well as general administrative support for a Head of Year/Assistant Principal.

The successful candidate will have:

• Been educated to a high standard with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications)

• Experience of working with young people in a learning environment

• Experience of general clerical/administrative work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good understanding and ability to use relevant technology, including Outlook and MS Office
