RECEPTIONIST/ADMIN SUPPORT

Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) term time only + 4 weeks to start as soon as possible. Please note we can be flexible with hours and a job share/shift pattern would be considered (to be discussed at interview)

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Receptionist/Admin Support Assistant to work as part of a small and friendly team at Montpelier High School. The role is varied and demanding within a busy school environment.

 

As a Receptionist, you will work closely with other Receptionists and Admin staff to provide efficient, welcoming and effective reception service.  You will be a first point of contact for the school for parents and visitors and will be ensuring that communication and information flows are effective. 

 

The role will also involve assisting with pupil first aid and undergo training as appropriate.

 

You will have:

• Been educated to a high standard with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).

• NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.

• Excellent telephone manner

• Ability to remain calm, composed, and flexible within a busy and demanding environment

• Ability to undertake a wide range of clerical, administrative and general duties

• Ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative

• Willingness to undertake Fire Marshall duties
