FAMILY SUPPORT AND DEPUTY DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD

Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) all year round to start as soon as possible. Part-time hours and working term time only will also be considered.

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. The Trust is responsible for eight academies, 3,500 pupils and 750 staff with a commitment to making a significant and lifelong difference to the lives of young people from some of Bristol’s most disadvantaged communities.

The purpose of the role is to provide support and guidance to children, young people and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum of GCSE Grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)

• ICT skills to produce quality reports and documents, and to create and manage simple databases

• Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding Procedures 

• Significant experience of working in a similar role 

• Ability to work well under pressure and to respect sensitive and confidential work
