Complaints & Concerns

If you are unhappy or have concerns about the academy or a person associated with the academy then you may wish to make a complaint, in the first instance complaints should be addressed in confidence to Vanetta Spence (Headteacher).

If your complaint is about the Headteacher then contact the Chair of Governors, Tracey Killen (tracey.killen@venturerstrust.org) or in writing via the Academy office in a sealed envelope marked "Chair of Governors - Private and Confidential"

Complaints Policy

Any person, including members of the public, may make a complaint to Venturers Trust or an academy within the Trust about any provision of facilities or services that we provide. Unless complaints are dealt with under separate statutory procedures (such as appeals relating to exclusions or admissions), we will use this complaints procedure.

Whistleblowing Policy

This policy is applicable to all students, parents and visitors of Venturers Trust and its constituent academies.

It aims to:

  • encourage individuals to feel confident in raising serious concerns, and to question and act upon those concerns;
  • provide avenues for individuals to raise concerns, and then receive feedback on any action taken; ensure that individuals receive a response to their concerns, and that they are made aware of how to pursue them if they are not satisfied with the response;
  • reassure individuals that they will be protected from possible reprisals or victimisation as long as they have a reasonable belief that they have made any disclosure in good faith.

Copies of the full policies for Complaints and Whistleblowing are available at the link below.

A paper copy can also be provided to you from the academy office.
