LEAD SCIENCE TECHNICIAN 

Permanent (37 hours per week) term time only role to start as soon as possible.

VTG8 Scale Point 22 – 25, starting salary £23,597 per annum pro rata (actual starting salary £19,187 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefit package (see website for full details of our employee benefit package). 

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. Our Science Department is looking for a flexible and committed individual to lead our existing team of Science Technicians as Lead Science Technician.

The post holder will provide a specialist technical and practical service supporting the science teaching staff in the delivery of the Science Curriculum and will assist with the provision of well-maintained resources and services in an organised and safe environment.

The successful candidate will have:

• Grade C or above at GCSE in English/Maths/Science or equivalent

• A current First Aid certificate or willingness to be trained as a First Aider.

• Experience of managing people

• Experience of laboratory working and Health & Safety requirements.

• Excellent organisational skills.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritising workloads to work to tight deadlines.

• Ability to offer advice and guidance to Science Technicians and other staff and assist in their development
