TEACHING ASSISTANT

Fixed term until 31/08/2024 (37 hours per week) term time only to start as soon as possible

VTG7, SP18-SP21 starting salary £20,637 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary £16,780 per annum) plus Health Care Cash Plan and Benefits Package

Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. The Trust is responsible for eight academies, 3,500 pupils and 750 staff with a commitment to making a significant and lifelong difference to the lives of young people from some of Bristol’s most disadvantaged communities.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who has a passion for helping young people, who will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and assist and support the work of qualified teachers.

You will be working with children to support children access their education. We have children with SEN needs and you would be part of team that is passionate about inclusivity and supporting young people to succeed. We will support with tailored CPD alongside the children's needs as our cohort and need grows.

The successful candidate will have:

• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and maths (or equivalent qualifications).

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant to a Teaching Assistant role

• Experience of working effectively supporting children in a learning environment

• A proficiency in improving basic numeracy and literacy with specialist skills in literacy that will enable you to work with targeted individuals.
