The day encourages women of all faiths to wear the hijab and experience what it feels like to be a Muslim woman for a day. It also aims to dispel common misconceptions about the hijab and promote the idea that wearing the hijab is a personal choice and a symbol of empowerment for many Muslim women.

Led by our student Diversity, Equality and Inclusion group, and involving many of our wider body of students and staff, World Hijab Day has provided a fantastic opportunity for our school community to learn about different cultures and religions, and to promote diversity and inclusivity.
